Slow Food Glasgow – Open Evening

By Emma @glasgowfoodie

#GrowGlasgow campaign kicks off with open event on 8 June

#GrowGlasgow calls on people across the city and beyond to make the most of whatever space they have.

#GrowGlasgow is asking the people of Glasgow to use gardens, allotments and even window boxes to grow their own ingredients and make healthy, tasty, ‘slow’ food.

Organisers, Slow Food Glasgow, are inviting anyone with an interest in growing, preparing and eating good food to come along to find out more about Slow Food at the launch event dinner, taking place at the Project Café on Renfrew Street on June 8.

Guests will be treated to a typically ‘Slow Food’ three-course dinner – home cooked, healthy, locally-grown and, of course, delicious for £12 (£10 for Slow Food members), while enjoying food-related film and entertainment.

Book a place at the dinner in advance via Facebook to be sure of getting a seat and help the organisers plan how much food to prepare.

The Project Café has a ‘bring your own bottle’ policy, with a small corkage fee.
