Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera yesterday said that his Party will support Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa if he accepts the Premiership and form a new Government.
Jayasekera requested the Opposition Leader to accept this responsibility without delay to ensure the stability of the country Jayasekera was addressing the media at the headquarters of the Ramannaya Maha Nikaya yesterday.
I request the Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa to accept this responsibility without waiting until the President resigns from his post to make the country stable, Jayasekera said.
Jayasekera was of the view that the country will be in anarchy if the President resigns from his post at this point of time.
