Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Kurunegala District MP Shantha Bandara was sworn in as the State Minister of Promoting Production and Regulating Supply of Organic Fertilizer, and Paddy and Grains, Organic Foods, Vegetables, Fruits, Chillies, Onion and Potato Cultivation Promotion, Seed Production and Advanced Technology Agriculture.

He was sworn in before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Tuesday (11).

Secretary to the President Gamini Senarath was also present.

Meanwhile, the President has declined to accept the resignation letter of Foreign Employment Promotion and Market Diversification State Minister Piyankara Jayaratne.

Accordingly, Jayaratne will continue to function as the State Minister.
