Verdict on Sleeping Dogs
Sleeping Dogs is a dark crime thriller following a detective with memory loss investigating one of his previous cases. The convicted man believes he didn’t commit the crime and the detective finds himself drawn into a world with plenty of different versions of the story.
This movie takes us into a dark and twisted crime. It shows that not every crime can be clean cut and re-investigating can uncover larger truths. As we dive into the past crime, we see a twisted world of cover-ups that keep things going down a series of different twists and turns. However, it can move slower than it could, leading to things sometimes dragging along, without moving the story along quicker enough. For those who enjoy a good crime thriller, you should enjoy this one. However, if you only check out a few, this would have been one to skip.
