The dam of the Aluthdivulwewa Reservoir in Galenbidunuwewa Divisional Secretariat division, damaged due to heavy rainfall was restored by Sri Lanka Army personnel yesterday.
The eroded dam posed a significant threat to the homes and agricultural activities of the surrounding community. Responding promptly, troops under the Security Forces Headquarters – Wanni undertook rigorous efforts to restore the damaged dam by strengthening it with sandbags. This intervention ensured the safety and security of the residents in the area.
