The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has unanimously decided to nominate Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa as their Presidential hopeful.
SJB National Organizer Tissa Attanayake said the party will follow the relevant procedure to field the Opposition Leader as its Presidential candidate after Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abewardana announces the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to Parliament.
“The Speaker will make the House aware about the procedure pertaining to the appointment of the new President to Parliament today”, Attanayake said.
