The ‘National Council’ proposed by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) to find answers to people’s problems will be established at the office of the Opposition Leader next Tuesday, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said.
Premadasa said the ‘National Council’ will be formed by bringing together all the mass societies, trade unions and civil organizations.
Premadasa said this at the joint trade union meeting held at the office of the Opposition Leader in Colombo on Saturday (23).
The opposition leader said that progressive proposals received by the national council will be submitted to Parliament.
Premadasa said that the Council will come up with proposals regarding the future programme of building the country and alleviating current difficulties faced by the people.
