In this sixth new abstract painting, I tried for a more overall composition than in my previous "tall" canvases. I still focused on reds and oranges, but painted larger shapes with a combination of brush and palette knife. The backgroud of unbleached titanium and parchment cradled each shape, and cobalt green provided depth and contrast.
I like the overall sense of composition, but feel this painting needs another day's work to jell.
Tall Canvas #6, 10" x 48" acrylic on canvas.
