An officer of the State Intelligence Service (SIS) was arrested on Saturday (28) by the officers of the Western Province North Crime Detection Division while using the narco drug called ‘Ice’ in a house in Peliyagoda with two others.
The suspect is a police constable attached to the headquarters of the State Intelligence Service. A raid was conducted to arrest him according to information received that this intelligence officer is addicted to drugs and he often comes to Peliyagoda to take drugs with a group of drug addicts. Police said that 550 milligrams of Ice and six grams of the drug hash were found in his possession.
