People jump through a lot of hoops to find ‘the one’. From speed dating to blind dating to online dating, American singles will continue to try just about anything to find their soulmate. And can you blame them? People love love, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
But despite our best efforts, many of us still end up alone and ready to throw in the towel.
Why is that, you ask?
Well, according to a report on millennial marriages across the United States, your inability to meet any solid contenders up to this point might have less to do with what you’re doing and more to do with where you’re living. That’s right: it could be time to move.
If you really want to meet your person– and, ultimately, tie the knot one day, you should move to one of these five cities.
Utah
Ok, I know you don’t think you want to live in Utah… but if you’re a millennial who really wants to get married, it might be time to reconsider.
75% of Utah’s millennial population is predicted to be married in the next ten years. And even if you were hoping to find a partner sooner (like say, in the next five years) your odds are still pretty good. Over 60% of millennials in Utah are expected to be married within the next five years.
Idaho
Idaho is almost certainly a state you’ve never considered moving to, but if you’re really serious about getting married, you should at least give it some thought. Nearly 59% of Idaho millennials are predicted to be married in five years and 71% are predicted to be married in ten.

Arkansas
Arkansas is another state you should look into moving to if you’d like to get married in the next few years but have yet to meet “your person.” In Arkansas, 58% of millennials will be married in five years and a whopping 70% will be in ten years’ time.
But if you’re not sold on moving to one of these three states, you still have options. In Kansas, Colorado, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Wyoming over 55% over Millennials will be married in the next five years.
And whatever you do, if you want marriage to be in your future, be sure to stay away from Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island– because when it comes to projected millennial marriages, let’s just say we don’t hear wedding bells ringing in these states.
