Suriya starrer Singham is exact opposite of a class fare like Sahasam with a similar end result. The film dropped big at ‘A’ centers (barring the main theaters) and in addition many theaters were removed for the new release last week. However it continued to do well in the smaller centers but with low numbers. As a result instead of zooming ahead the film was crawling along in terms of collections despite fairly good occupancy.
Singham needs to maintain this run for another couple of weeks to break even, which looks highly unlikely as it’s the first choice of replacement for the forthcoming releases. Eventually its going to end up as a loss venture in AP.
