Suriya starrer Singham has completed its three weeks run at the box office in Andhra Pradesh. The film had opened to decent talk and had a good opening too considering the low expectations from it before release and also keeping in mind that the previous two films of Suriya bombed in Telugu.
However with a new release every week and an already existing blockbuster running in the market Singham had to suffer in its further run as theaters kept on getting reduced week by week. Also the film didn’t sustain as well, as was expected initially after the good opening. In the end Singham is going to be a loosing preposition at the box office in AP as it could not recover the high price it was bought for (around 16 Cr). A little solace comes here from the fact that the film has done well in smaller centers which were taken for SG’s and MG’s and is going to be a break even affair at the end of the run in few such places.
Suriya’s highest grosser still remains the AR Murugadoss directed 7th Sense in Telugu which collected around 15 Cr.
