Singham 2 has posted good numbers for the weekend in overseas. The film has collected around $ 239K gross from the tracked locations in US, which is quite good. And since the film has been sold at reasonable prices it is also going to be a profit venture for the distributors involved.
Singham 2 had come after twin disappointments for actor Suriya and this performance should put him back on track trade wise. Incidentally the last universal success of Suriya was the prequel to the film Singham.
Note: These are numbers only from US, a smaller market for Tamil films compared to Malaysia which is their biggest overseas territory. In Malaysia the last two films of Suriya have performed very well (considering their talks) despite their under-performance everywhere else.
