You know you should keep your eye on the ball but when so much is happening on court - your opponent is running around, you're trying to judge where you're moving on the court - it can be hard to just watch that ball. But, by focusing on the ball, you can keep up with everything else through your peripheral vision. Remember - in tennis, the most important stuff is happening right around the ball. So keep your eye on the ball.
