On the other hand, the telecom department officials also focus on various equipment to track the SIM fraud and deal. One such equipment is AI for customer verification and facial-powered solution, known as ASTR. This arrangement maintains the detailed record of the SIM card users. If a person with different addresses and the same name can identify if multiple SIM cards are collected.
Many frauds SIMs have been disconnected for this technology. Officials have also warned that the SIM card is not transferable.
