Silent Forum – ‘Safety in Numbers’

Posted on the 25 April 2019 by Spectralnights

Cardiff-based Silent Forum are set to release new single ‘Safety in Numbers’ on 10 May via Libertino Records. An ode to community and ‘the importance of looking after your friends’, it’s a piece of art pop that sits somewhere between Talking Heads, new wave, shoegaze and Tall Ships. It has a conversational tone as Richard Wiggins shares a series of his innermost thoughts: ‘These songs will last a thousand years. My voice could never sing that long with the best training in the world’; ‘I see dark emotions rise from nowhere’. There’s an inspiring tone as he sings about how ‘There’s safety in numbers’, a statement that backs up the band’s claim that ‘our relationships are the most meaningful thing we can achieve in life’.
