The Spanish Air Force (Ejercito del Aire) began operating the S-76 in 1991, known as the HE.24 in Spanish service, for instrument flight training and medical evacuation roles. This traffic circle in Granada “Glorieta de la Aviación Española” (Rotonda del Helicóptero), features a S-76A as a monument commemorating 100 years of Spanish military aviation. First flown in 1977, the S-76 is still in production with over 875 delivered. Nikon D7000 w/18-200mm.
