The Firehawk is a firefighting variant of the venerable UH-60 Blackhawk and has been in service with the LA County FD since 2001.  The Aero Union tank system holds 1000 gallons of water and retardant that can be refilled in 60 seconds with a snorkel hose.  The LA County Fire Department has 9 helicopters available for aerial firefighting, three of which are Firehawks.  Nikon D7100 w/18-200 mm, processed with Aperture and Aurora HDR.
