I'm in a minor panic. The holidays have gone far too quickly and I go back to work next Tuesday. What?! I'm still hankering after tropical climates and a deep golden tan, I can't start thinking about marking and lesson plans already! Soon, I will have to put my (semi) sensible hat on; take off the hareem pants and dust off the slim fit trousers. Life is not all bad though, it does give me an excuse to buy a few new term treats - something I do each year, if not each term, to try and ease the pain! Now these treats can take many forms; a night in an Oxford B&B to celebrate a successful summer holiday with Rich this Saturday (booked, yes!), possibly a shiny new watch to add to my collection, or maybe a pair of new heels to once again try and look older than the students I teach!
Another thing I take great pleasure in, is buying new stationery. Remember how exciting it was to get your back to school bits as a child?! Well, that feeling has not subsided. To me, there is nothing better than buying new pens, notepads and paper! I'm planning on picking up a 2013/14 diary as my current diary just isn't cutting it, as well as a wall planner to help plan out my weeks. I'm usually quite an organised person, but year on year come November by nerves are shot to pieces and my life is far from organised. This year will be the one!
