During Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you have to make a lot of choices, and many of them have big results.
Because of this decision, you will have to go after Squint during the Needle in a Haystack job. He has something you need.
Stranger Squint is a friend of Richter’s. He isn’t back with the Ward Sensors that Richter and Captain Zotov of The Ward want back.
You can give the Ward Sensors to anyone you want while you still have them. You can also deal with Squint in different ways.
After a few wrong leads, the quest will lead you to where he is. In a tower near what used to be a farm, the thief is hiddien.
Watch out for the many tripwires once you get to the top of the stairs. He’ll be there.

Kill Squint
You could get a gun and shoot Squint. You might think that’s funny, but it’s the worst thing you can do because it only goes to one place.
Richter won’t take the Ward Sensors when you get back. So, the only person you can choose is Captain Zotov.
Also, you won’t be able to do the helpful Piece of Cake side task. Unless you’re just playing the game to be a cruel cruel person, it’s best to leave him alive for now.
Retrieve an Artifact for Squint
This seems like the usual, story-focused choice that GSC Game World is pushing players toward, and it’s better than killing Squint right away.
Being willing to help him starts the Piece of Cake quest, which asks you to find a cave opening nearby.
Drop through the huge hole in the floor to find it in the main house building on the farm. Light up your light and begin moving through the dark.
Bring a shotgun to kill the unseen, very fast mutant in the first main cave as quickly as possible.
After that, you’ll go into another cave that is full of radioactive blight. Use your Echo Sensor to find the item in the middle of the cave.
It’s up to you to get the item back to Squint. He’ll trade it for the Ward Sensors and then run off to escape.

Retrieve the Artifact and then Kill Squint
Our sneaky friend Squint will have to die because the best choice does involve death. Agree to help him, and then get the object back.
When you get back to the mill and he asks for it, tell him you’re going to keep it, and a fight will start.
There is a lot of stuff for you to take after killing him, and you can keep the item for yourself.
You can still choose who to give the Ward Sensor back to, and Richter seems fine with the death of his old friend in this situation.
In the Needle in a Haystack story task, those are the only choices you have.
