Summer has arrived and with it comes the summer staples of tanned legs and denim cut-offs. Whether paired with blouses, tanks, or cute bandeaus- denim shorts are the perfect go-with-everything item. These denim babies can be seen everywhere and come bleached, ripped, dyed, studded, and everything in between. The best part about this summer essential is how easy it is to make your own.
Supplies:
Sharp Scissors
Razor Blade/Stanley Knife
Cutting Board
Sand Paper
Bleach (optional)
Jeans
The How To:
1. Measure jeans and mark at the desired length
2. Cut about 1 to 2 inches below mark (fraying will shorten the overall length). I prefer to cut at a slight angle so the sides are shorter.
3. Lay shorts on cutting board and start cutting with razor blade/stanley knife.
4. Use sandpaper all over to add distressed and worn in areas on shorts.
5. (Optional) I drizzle bleach on my shorts to add fading.
6. Wash and wear!
