Shop Talk: I Survived Black Friday

e86e0382634349bba786cb6429cb4d72I finally think I’m almost fully recovered after Black Friday. It’s no secret that the day of doorbuster sales is the biggest shopping day of the year, and preludes the busy holiday shopping that arrives the following month. By the store being a smaller local boutique, I wasn’t really expecting significant traffic – I just figured everyone would be at the mall grabbing up all the deals from the more popular chain stores. However, I was pleasantly surprised. We actually had a pretty good Friday and Saturday, and ended the month with more sales than we’ve had in months. It’s been such a long hard road, but this was definitely an entrepreneurial bright spot. More highlights of our Black Friday included launching the website! It’s been almost a year long project, but I’m so excited that our customers finally get to shop online!

There’s hardly any time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the fruits of my labor though. Christmas is in 20, eek 20 days!, and there’s so much to be done as we prep for December sales, and get ready for next year. This week has been abnormally slow (maybe everyone is all shopped out from last weekend?) which just further exacerbates the motto that my work is never done. Time to kick it into overdrive and end the year on a positive note! I’d also love for you guys to check out the website! Check it out here and let me know what you think! Happy Friday everyone!
