This post will communicate the percentage of each Montreal Canadiens' defenseman's EVEN-STRENGTH shots that either hit the net, are blocked, or miss the net entirely.
The first graph displays each player's (including forwards) "true-shooting-percentage". TSP represents the percentage of attempted shots that result in goals. For example, if a player attempts 100 shots, and scores 4 goals; his TSP is 4%.
These pie graphs display the percentage of each Habs d-man's shots that either hit the net, are blocked, or miss the net entirely.
DEFENSEMEN
More of Murray's shots are blocked than the average Montreal defenseman.
Gorges misses the net more often than the average Montreal defensman.
Bouillon misses the net least-often among Habs d-men. He also hits the net more often, and has the highest-percentage of his shots blocked.
Among d-men with substantial even-strength ice-time, Diaz hits the net the least-often with his attempted shots. Less of his shots are actually blocked than the average defenseman, but he leads the team in attempted shots that miss the net.
Emelin's numbers are early. The law of averages guarantee that he will hit the net with more shots as the season progresses. That said, Emelin hit the net with only 32% of his attempted shots last season.
Only Bouillon gets a higher percentage of his attempted shots through to the net than Subban, while only Bouillon and Markov miss the net with a lower-percentage of their shots than PK.
Markov has not scored an even-strength goal this season. That said, only Bouillon, and Subban hit the net with a higher percentage of their shots than Markov. Only Bouillon misses the net with a lower-percentage of his shots, or gets a higher percentage of his shots blocked than Markov.
