Last Night a shooting near the gate 06 of the Colombo harbor injure eight people According the Police two individuals have tried to steal property from a warehouse which belonged to the expressway that is currently being built connecting the harbor. Security guards at the warehouse has attempted to arrest these individuals which lead to a reaction by few others in the area.
The situation escalated leading to the mob of people trying to attack the security guards. One of the security guards have reacted by discharging the firearm at the mob of people which left eight injured including 3 women. All of whom were admitted to the National Hospital.
According to the Police, injured are residents of the Bloementhal area.
The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office stated that investigations are being carried out by the Coastal Police regarding the shooting.
