Electric bulbs are among the inventions that changed human lives for good. Light bulbs with a carbon filament were first demonstrated by Thomas Edison in October 1879.
Seen human bulbs ? – we found them in Happydent advertisements made by Perfetti – who introduced the functional chewing gum!!
The scene depicted was a packed bus in Mumbai. A lady politely asks two men to vacate the ladies seat but her request is met with denial as the men state that they can't see the sign board. Two youngsters sitting nearby decide to help. They open a pack of Happydent and consume the mint, post which they flash their powerful white smile on the 'Ladies Seat' sign clearly marked over the assigned seat. Other co-passengers join in too and the two men sheepishly get up from the seat and get out from the bus. The film ends with the tagline – ‘Dikha Battissi Kar Baat Achhi Si’ (do something good with a smile).
This advertisement caught the attention of people and was named as one of the 20 best ads of the 21st century in a public poll conducted by the Gunn Report, the global index of creative excellence in advertising.
On 2.3.2025, SYMA conducted a Medical camp for conservancy workers of Urbaser Sumeet, working in Zone 9. Here is a pic taken by Aravind that shows the light and teeth.
