On the first Sunday of each month the J Sheekey oyster bar will transform into a speakeasy hosting music and comedy for diners. Located on St Martin’s Court in Covent Garden the evenings are designed to pay homage to their theatreland roots.
Hardeep Singh Kohli, the Scottish comedian, writer and broadcaster is curating the season. He says: “Anyone attending the Sheekey’s Speakeasies should expect the unexpected. The atmosphere is relaxed and playful… perfect for a Sunday evening. We plan to offer unusual entertainment of the highest order. That and braised octopus.”
Diners can enjoy comedy alongside a seasonal menu for £30 per person and just so you know Sheekey’s octopus comes sautéed with chorizo.
