Shearer Candles – Christmas is Coming!

By Emma @glasgowfoodie

Christmas!

Sorry, I mentioned the "C" word (well, the family-friendly C word!). I always feel really Christmassy in November, I think it's the clocks going back and the nip in the air, or just an excuse to cosy up on the couch and get the twinkly lights out.

Shearer Candles launched their festive offerings at their Princes Square shop and we popped along to fill our baskets with candles, holders, reed diffusers and various other accoutrements which they sell.

Being a shop filled with scented candles, the smell was amazing - so welcoming and cosy.

Traditional Christmas colours were popular as well as silver and I was glad to see some copper based accessories - I'm in love with copper just now (have you seen the copper Kitchenaid? It's on my lottery winnings list!)

The Smoked Diamonds and Glowing Embers candles caught our eye - Mr Foodie came too and although he won't publicly admit it he secretly loves candles, especially manly ones that remind him of smouldering camp fires!

The Smoked Diamonds aroma is very like Angel perfume. This is one for long soaks in the bath I think!

Mr Foodie's favourites were the Glowing Embers candle which was very fragrant, smoky and reminiscent of real burning fires; and Herb, which has a fresh spearmint aroma.

There are lots of scents on offer in store, fruity, earthy and highly perfumed. Poor Mr Foodie didn't know what to pick so he bought a few!
