As the two continue their investigation, they go searching for women that would go on the record. None of the women wants to come forward as they would be forced into more public shaming. However, the two find a way to break one of the biggest stories of sexual misconduct in history.
Verdict on She Said
She Said is a drama following two New York Times journalists that led an investigation into Harvey Weinstein’s decades-long sexual misconduct. It follows the two journalists as they search for sources that would go on the record. However, this proves more difficult as the story nears publication. Nobody will talk on the record as the pressure mounts on the team to get the story finished.
This is a story that focuses on the news that shocked the world, but not Hollywood. When the serial sexual predator got exposed by two journalists who wouldn’t give up the story, no matter how difficult it became. It is amazing how hard the team worked to expose the story and even more extraordinary how easily it was covered up in the first place.
The performances in the movie are amazing, Zoe Kazan and Carey Mulligan lead an all-star cast. In the supporting roles, one or two scenes from the cast get a major impact. The best way to describe this is everything you would have seen from ‘Spotlight’ exposing another massive story.
Final Thoughts – She Said is an amazing story of getting the bigger story out.
