Galway trio Shark School have shared ‘Don’t Trust a Man’ ahead of the release of their debut album ‘Selachimorpha’, via Strange Brew on 26 June, 2026.
The band say ‘’Don’t Trust A Man’ is an abrasive and raw track lamenting the desperation for women to comfortably just be; to just exist free of the burden and disappointment of living within a gendered social hierarchy’ and it lives up to this with its repeated opening mantra of ‘I cannot trust a man who can’t control his hands’ being delivered over gritty, grungey guitar riffs.
Things then take a more DIY punk or garage rock turn as the song drives towards its high-impact ending through chunky, circular hooks and cathartic screams.
