Story: Shark Attack 3: Megalodon starts when a Mexican coast resort starts coming under attack by a shark, Ben (Barrowman) leads the investigation, while being pressured into keeping the local area open, marine biologist Cat (McShane) arrives in hope of conducting research on a young baby megalodon.
Only the attacks continue to get worse and the pair must work together to eliminate the threat, which is only the beginning of the threat, one unlike anything they have managed before.

Characters & Performances – Ben is a coast guard that is trying to keep the coast of a Mexican resort safe, he is involved in trying to investigate a shark attack, which will see him facing the reality he needs to fight a megalodon. He will do anything to save people over the shark and will not hesitate in saving people. John Barrowman does the best he can in this role, including what is one of the strangest lines you will ever hear. Cat is the marine biologist that comes to town to help research the shark attack, he wants to protect the long thought of extinct, wanting to protect, but seeing the damage caused. Jenny McShane joins John Barrowman being the only strong part of the acting involved in the film. The rest of the cast don’t shine, with most being disposable character throughout.
Story – The story here follows a coast guard and marine biologist that must work together to defend the local coast after a series of shark attack happen, from a new deadlier shark, a megalodon. When it came to the boom in shark attack movies, we knew what we might end up getting sooner rather than later, we have an unlikely partnership needing to fight a shark, which is getting more difficult to deal with, as they see the scale of the threat. There isn’t much we haven’t seen and it is just going to be a story we can enjoy drunk, because of the story’s simple nature.
Themes – Shark Attack 3: Megalodon does give us a shark attack movie, it is one that relies on extreme close ups to cover up the fact it can’t deal with most of the blood, we do get the same shark a jumping out the water eating things shot, which is mostly comical to watch now.
Final Thoughts – Shark Attack 3: Megalodon is a fun drinking movie that you can have a lot of fun watching.
