Thoughts on Shakespeare: The Truth Behind the Name
Thoughts – Shakespeare: The Truth Behind the Name is a documentary looking into the mystery surrounding the William Shakespeare name, diving into the ideas that he wasn’t the figure history has left us to know, in fact a completely different person. When it comes to history, we will always see different points of view, with this one looking deeper into the history of social relevant people for the era of Shakespeare, over what we take for granted for the famous writer. This documentary will show how deep Robin K Phillips has gone into researching the stories to find the facts for their discussion, which is an interesting discussion, but with the distance in time since the event and with the writings being considered some of the greatest in history, people will be left to wonder if they want to learn more or not. While the facts placed forward could offer up an interesting discussion, it does end up feeling like we might not get as much from it as people are willing to hear.
Release on September 13 to VOD.
Final Thoughts – Shakespeare: The Truth Behind the Name is a documentary wanting to show a new narrative, only it feels like not enough people will want to hear it.
