Wedding is always a special moment for everyone irrespective of whom it belongs to. But, when it is about some celebrity superstar, everything becomes big, better and more special as well. And it is really special today because it is about one of the most favorite and cutest actors Shahid Kapoor wedding. Bad news for his female fans, but Shahid is no more a bachelor now as he tied the knot with Mira Rajput yesterday on 7th July, Tuesday. The wedding took place at farm house of Shivinder Singh in Delhi, in presence of a very few guests.
The wedding was a family affair, where only around 40 close friends and guests were invited. It was because they wanted it to be a private ceremony according to a close friend, so the bungalow was covered with tight security, even using barricades on roads around it. All the wedding rituals got finished at around 12:30 in noon, after which the couple took lunch with family and religious Guru of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, where they met for first time. It was a completely Punjabi wedding, following all the rituals and traditions.
As we said it was a fully Punjabi style marriage, it took place in Gurudwara fashion, where Shahid wore a white Kurta-Pyjama and a Safa(Turban) and Mira opted for a green & pink colored Salwar Kurta, with a very heavily embroidered Dupatta to cover head. Other that this, she applied a very light makeup, and wore a statement maang tikka on forehead. Shahid has already said about his private ceremony, “I refrain from getting into details. I thought that since I am here today, it was important to acknowledge it in front of the media, so I am doing that. Other than that, she is a normal girl and I am a normal guy, and we should treat it like something normal and regular. It’s my personal space and I won’t get into the details,”
The wedding was later followed by a wedding reception at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, which was a bigger event, receiving around 500 guests. Mira wore a blush colored Lehanga designed by Anamika Khanna, while Shahid wore a white sherwani designed by his friend and designed Kunal Rawal. Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapoor, mother Neelima Azeem, step mother Supriya Pathak, step sister Sanah all were there to bestow their blessing and good wishes to the couple. Sanah told the media, “My bhabhi is very nice, I hope sabko aisi bhabhi mile”
The couple looked fabulous together and everyone looked very happy as well. We wish them all the good wishes for their happily married life.
