Ever wonder how People Magazine chooses their candidates for “Sexiest Man Alive”? The annual tradition was started in 1985 with Mel Gibson and has continued with the editors of People Magazine keeping a watch for celebrity men who have that certain physical appeal, romantic flirtiness, and universal appeal that keeps them in the public eye all year round. It is all about the “mystery” when it comes down to fueling the fire of sexiness.
For 2015, People Magazine picked former footballer, brand model, and family man David Beckham. Even though he has retired from soccer, he is still at the top of his game. David has the smoky sultriness that is attracts attention. He is certainly no stranger to fashion. Whether he is photographed on the red carpet in LA, out on the streets of London, or hustling through the airport with his family, he has a style that is both modern and eye-catching.
Looking “red carpet ready”, David Beckham is dressed in a black, one-button tuxedo from designer Tom Ford. It is tailored nicely over his shoulders and chest with details of wide, to the waist lapels. David accessorizes with a crisp white dress shirt, black bow tie, and a pair of shiny leather dress shoes. Even if he wasn’t nominated for anything at the event, he is still a winner with this look.
Being a family man with 3 sons and 1 daughter, is also part of David Beckham’s attractiveness. In this photo, he is out for an ice cream with his adorable daughter Harper. David’s casual look includes a great denim button-down, black skinny jeans, and white sneakers. The grey knit cap and sunglasses hanging from the neckline are the perfect modern accessories. David does have some competition in the fashion department with his daughter Harper’s leggings, grey print skirt, and metallic ballerina flats.
Last, but not least is the “brand model” David Beckham who is looking rugged in a plum colored plaid shirt, a dark taupe quilted vest, and mud splattered blue jeans. He even manages to make motorcycle trail riding a fashionable thing.
