Kalpitiya Police yesterday arrested seven persons including an Indian who was involved in trafficking ICE drug (Crystal methamphetamine) was arrested along with three kilos of ICE drug worth Rs.30 mn in Kalpitiya. Preliminary investigations have revealed that this Indian national has been engaged in drug trafficking for 12 years.
Police suspect that the arrested Indian is the person who bought this stock of ICE drug to the country from India. Based on the information received by the Special Bureau of Police in Kalpitiya, a suspect was first arrested along with three parcels containing ICE drug when a bus was stopped and checked. Later other suspects were arrested.
