A team of police officers at Horana Police station arrested a person who was planning to sell two fake gemstones yesterday (02) near the Horana Vidyarathana Pirivena.
Horana Police said the suspect is a 36-year-old resident of Nivithigala. The police also found the two dark-coloured fake gemstones that were brought to sell in the possession of the suspect.
There is a complaint against this person at Thalangama Police Station regarding financial fraud in Battaramulla. According to Horana Police, there are complaints at Kesbewa Police Station regarding fraud of Rs. 500,000 by showing fake gemstones at the Meetiyagoda Police Station regarding thefts and at the Nivithigala Police Station regarding an abduction.Apart from that, there are two cases related to drunk driving against him in the Mt.Lavina courts, police said.
