Serena Williams is returning to the tennis court next week, and will be making history when she does.
On Dec. 30th, Serena Williams will be playing in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi.
She’s scheduled to compete against French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko. The ladies will be making history as two of the first women to play in the event.
‘I am delighted to be returning to the court in Abu Dhabi for the first time since the birth of my daughter in September,’ Serena said.
After the birth of their daughter, Serena and Alexis Ohanian, Sr., said “I do!” in a star studded ceremony in New Orleans.
Serena’s new husband, and daughter will be in the stands when she hits the court for the first time as a mommy.
