Serena Williams-invested $4.3 billion blockchain startup signs contract with top European soccer league

Sorare is a fantasy sport in which players trade National Football Teams (NFTs) of French athletes. It has a current market value of $4.3 billion, and Lionel Messi has recently joined the company as an investor and brand ambassador. Tennis legend Serena Williams and soccer sensation Kylian Mbappe are already on their roster.

Sorare is a fantasy soccer game where players can buy, sell, trade, and manage digital player cards. It runs on the Ethereum blockchain. Participants in NFTs and fantasy leagues select and manage a team of five soccer players.

Sorare works with numerous sports clubs and leagues and has a network of over three million people. The NFT-based gaming platform recently extended its contract with the Dutch league Eredivisie for another three years, until 2025.

Sorare has partnerships with well-known European football leagues.
Sorare inked a three-year contract with the Dutch Eredivisie this week. Sorare will now be the Dutch Premier League’s exclusive NFT fantasy sports partner. The agreement will give the Eredivisie access to three million users in 185 countries.

“At the Eredivisie, we strive to pioneer new technologies for our fans in order to improve their fan experience and make them feel as connected to their club and the global football community,” said Mark Rondag, the Eredivisie’s head of marketing and commercial development. Sorare’s fantasy sports represent the future of online football enthusiasts, and we are excited to expand our partnership with Sorare and launch exciting new initiatives for our fans.

Twitter is a social networking website

Sorare now has connections with over 250 sports organizations. This includes La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A, and, most recently, the Dutch league. It also has world-class athletes as investors, including Serena Williams, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappé. They are also shifting their emphasis away from football and toward basketball and baseball.

Sorare already owns NBA and MLB teams. They are also interested in women’s sports, which is why tennis legend Serena Williams will be a Sorare ambassador in 2021. The French gaming platform wants to establish a presence in North America, and these agreements will help them get there.

Serena Williams has a dual role in Sorare

Sorare engaged Serena Williams as a board advisor in 2021 in order to increase popularity in North America. Nonetheless, the gamer revealed that he has invested in gaming websites. Despite the fact that the tennis player did not disclose these figures.

Williams is one of the few female athletes in the United States who has contributed to the expansion of women’s sports. Williams’ investment has combined his interests in crypto and athletics. The tennis legend believes the platform is capable of much more than simply holding collectibles. It also promotes user interaction, which is what drew them to Sorare.
