September Song 16: "The It Girl" by Raye Zaragoza

By Ventipop @ventipop

Raye Zaragoza didn't see people that looked like herself in fashion magazines or in movies. So, she wrote " The It Girl " as a commentary on the lack of diversity in the media and entertainment industry. The breezy song hums along and is a nice juxtaposition to the importance and anger embedded in the song's message. Stay for the entire track to hear Zaragova's true feelings to emerge just as the song fades out.
