Bullwinkle's Debut (1961)
- The Bullwinkle show moved to NBC starting September 24, 1961, broadcast in color, and first appeared on Sundays at 7pm (EST), just before Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color.

The Muppets Creator Jim Henson's Birthday (1936 - 1990)
- James Maury "Jim" Henson (September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990) was an American puppeteer. He was one of the most widely known puppeteers in history[1] and was the creator of The Muppets.
Punctuation Day
- a celebration of the lowly comma, correctly used quotation marks, and other proper uses of periods, semicolons and the ever-mysterious ellipsis.
