May 2019

The last thing I expected to see heading back to my car after the Planes of Fame airshow was this Jaguar basking in the afternoon sun.  It certainly wasn’t there when I arrived that morning.  The subject of a recent restoration, she wears the colors of No. 6 Squadron RAF and has been at CHino since May 2015.  Introduced in 1973, the Royal Air Force operated the Jaguar until the type was retired in 2007.  The type is still in service with the Indian Air Force. SEPECAT (Société Européenne de Production de l’avion Ecole de Combat et d’Appui Tactique) was a joint venture between Breguet and the British Aircraft Corporation, one of the first major joint-Anglo-French military aircraft programs.  Nikon D7100 w/18-200mm.
