Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor) has shared ‘If Not Now, It’s Soon’, the third single to be taken from upcoming third album ‘A Complicated Woman’ (out on 25 April via Polydor Records).
Partly inspired by Rebecca’s pre-fame years – a time when hypersexuality, booze and self-destruction all figured strongly – the song finds her looking back on these times (‘You wonder who it was who made the choices in that town’) and explaining how they helped shape her life, amidst Caroline Polachek-esque fractured melodies, choral backing and subtle beats: ‘Take it back to the beginning’; ‘Whatever is right for you will guide you through’.
