It’s so important now and again to show ourselves some love and practice self-care. If you haven’t really practiced much self-care recently because you’ve been busy or you just haven’t thought about it – now is the time to give yourself some tlc and care for yourself in the best possible way.

Here are a few different self-care ideas that will help you get back to your normal self, and help you feel healthier and happier this week!

Try rose water for clearer skin

Rose water is such a great thing to have in your pantry. It can be used in baking to make things like Turkish delight, and can be used on your skin to help refresh, balance your pores and tighten them. You can make rose water easily at home by collecting some rose petals and then boiling them in water. Once you have simmered rose petals in water for around 20 minutes you can sieve out the rose petals and let the water cool completely. Spritz this on your face whenever you need to feel refreshed, and it will brighten your skin and help even out your complexion.

Use CBD for aches and pains

CBD is such a useful tool for your health and beauty routine and now is the perfect time to start taking advantage of Hhc hexahydrocannabinol in all of its forms. CBD oil, vape liquid, and creams can be bought and you can use these in several ways to ease aches and pains in the body. Dropping some CBD oil in a hot bath is the perfect remedy for achy joints and muscles, and eating some CBD gummies can cure your migraine. If you are having a rough day and need some tlc this week, get some CBD and start using it.

Brighten your eyes with cucumber

Cucumber is magical and it is one of the most refreshing things you can put on your face. Cucumber is the perfect remedy for tired eyes and sunken skin, and it will not only do you a lot of good but it will feel amazing and calming too. Simply cut a couple of cucumber slices and place them over your eyes, and leave them there for 30 minutes. This is the ideal excuse to get away from your phone for a little while and appreciate the silence.

Fall asleep with lavender oil

All of us have issues sleeping now and again.

It could be due to diet, drinking, or stress – and it can make us feel dull and drab all day long. If you have been struggling with insomnia recently, now is the time to make a change and start to get a better night’s sleep. Lavender oil has a calming effect on the brain and adding a few drops of this to a tissue next to your bed or under your pillow will help you drift off no issues.

Take up swimming

Part of looking after yourself and practicing self care is making sure your body is in tip top condition. If you have been neglecting your workout routine recently or you just haven’t started at all – one great place to start changing your whole body is in the pool. Swimming is a cardio exercise that works every muscle in the body and it also doesn’t put too much impact on your joints and knees. This means if you are looking for an accessible exercise, swimming is probably the one for you!
