Self-Balancing Electric Unicycle by Ryno Motors

By Inspirion @GoodMood20

This awesome idea of a self-balancing electric unicycle came to life 6 years ago, when its creator Chris Hoffmann was driving with his 13-year-old daughter Lauren to go fishing. That day Lauren asked her father if he could build something like what she saw in an episode of Dragon Ball. Few years later, these unusual idea became reality.

Ryno went from just an idea, inspired by manga series, to a futuristic motorcycle, that could easily compete with Segway. Even though there was media attention around Ryno from the beginning of this year, it was not possible to order or buy one. But,in the next few months company will actually begin shipping the first production version at a price of US$5250.

This so-called “microcycle” provides a range of 16 km and reaches a top speed of 16 km/h -the legal limit in the U.S. for a motorized transportation device. Weighing 73kg, it has a 118kg carrying capacity and its charge time is 6 hours.
