What is Sega’s next blockchain game about?
On September 28, Double Jump Tokyo released that it received a license from SEGA CORPORATION to develop a game based on the Sangokushi Taisen theme. Presently, there are no details like announcement date and platform information. Moreover, we do know that the new game use the Oasys blockchain. Its great news that Double Jump Tokyo, which created “my crypto heroes”, – a well-known blockchain game, is working on Sega’s new project as well.
As reported by the CEO and Founder of Double Jump Tokyo — Hironobu Ueno, the game features fascinating Japanese artworks which players can enjoy as playing. Additionally, he discussed that the game will be on Oasys and the person behind their chose it. This is because Oasys provides fast transactions and zero gas fees as, providing users with a comfortable gameplay experience.
In fact, Sega’s faith in blockchain games has grown since their April interview on the subject. At the time, Sega was aiming to integrate NFTs into its new “Super Game” project. “It’s a natural development for the future of gaming, which will expand into new areas like cloud gaming and NFTs,” said Sega’s producer Masayoshi Kikuchi.

Sangokushi Taisen is an arcade game released by Sega in March 2005 which uses a set from the Three Kingdoms period of China. Apparently, many video game players loved it, that is why Sega’s initial blockchain game uses the Sangokushi Taisen theme.
