Chanel & The Circus bring their Big Top sound to London town…
There is a real ballyhoo going down in Camden as one of its rock and roll institutions prepares to showcase exciting new act, Chanel & The Circus.

The Liverpool band will bring its unique brand of circus rock to The Barfly on September 11. Something of a rock and roll legend in London, The Barfly hosts regular rock and indie nights and has been a springboard for many up and coming bands over the years, from The Killers to the Libertines.

Now Chanel & The Circus will be throwing their hats into the Barfly ring and wowing the crowd over with their infectious energy and blend of theatrical rock with a punky edge.

Expect clowning around aplenty as circus mistress and talented singer/songwriter Chanel Samson entertains with her musical stories of self-love and discovery, truth and heartbreak in her comical and quirky way.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California girl Chanel moved to Liverpool, to study music at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.

Chanel has been gigging all around Liverpool with her six-piece band which has members from all corners of the world and adds a quirky rock vibe to her slapstick ukulele-based tunes.

She also fronted The Electric Swing Circus, a six piece electro swing band, at Liverpool’s coolest venue, Camp and Furnace.

Having recently released two singles on iTunes and Spotify, the band are currently promoting their newly released EP, ‘The Beginning’ produced by Felix Hagan, featuring an animated music video to F U Matthew starring three celebrity Matthews!

This is hot on the heels of their latest music video This Old Guy, directed by Lee Isserow, to a song Chanel wrote for all those females who have ever been hit on by a creepy old geezer.

Speaking about her performances, Chanel revealed: “I’m an entertainer through and through. When I perform I want to give people a real show! My target audience is anyone who’s ever felt left out or different. I give them a home, I give them acceptance and a group to belong to under my circus tent.”

Now she is bringing their circus to London, so roll up for what looks likely to be the greatest gig on Earth!

Don’t miss their gig on September 11, at 11pm at The Barfly in Camden, London.

Meanwhile, you can listen to Chanel & The Circus on iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud.
