Plot: A fictional story Inspired by true events, several children go missing from a basti (slum) in Sector 36. A determined police officer must now face off with a cunning serial killer as a chilling investigation and dark secrets unfold.

Story: Section 36 starts as we meet serial killer Prem (Massey) who has racked up a large number of kills in Basti. He uses the area to hunt for victims the police won’t spend much time investigating. However, the police have started to get close to uncovering the truth.

We dive into Prem’s past, where he was bought up in abuse, driving his violent side. However, his victims are picked off the streets in an extremely violet way. This leads to Prem getting too close to the detective causing them to target him only needing to find proof.

Verdict on Section 36

Section 36 is a crime thriller following a serial killer who has been picking victims off in the slums. However, his latest kills have seen him grabbing the attention of the authorities who are hunting the serial killer down.

This movie brings us startling reality of a real life crime story. The characters are changed for storytelling reasons, but the disturbing nature of the crimes are based on reality. It leads to one of the most shocking and disturbing interrogation sequences in any film. This creates a chilling reality of the crimes, one that even sends the detective into a dark uncomfortable place.
