I worked again on the background of two new abstract paintings on canvas, drawing circles in cadmium yellow light, lime green, cobalt green, brilliant blue, and cobalt. While the paint was still wet on the circles, I used a brush to fill them in with a translucent wash.
I began the circles with the lightest colors in the center from top to bottom, working my way outward to darker colors on the edges:
