Second High Gloss Abstract Painting

By Abstractartbylt @artbylt

The first abstract painting I did with a high gloss finish had a light blue background.  For this one, I painted the canvas panel all black and let it dry before I began.  Then, with a palette knife, I applied blocks of color, beginning with reds and oranges.  Next I did some brushwork with a pale peach, burnt umber, cobalt green and a pale yellow-green.  With a palette knife I added highlights in titanium white and then drew black lines for texture and emphasis.
