As the festive season envelops us in its glory and insanity, I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. Your support, curiosity, and dedication to personal style and self-expression have been the shining star that fuels the passion behind Inside Out Style.

A Season of Gratitude

Reflecting on the year gone by, I find myself wrapped in a blanket of gratitude. Your trust in my insights and dedication to exploring the depths of personal style with me has been an incredible journey. From discovering the perfect colours that amplify your essence to unlocking the secrets of dressing authentically, your enthusiasm fuels my purpose.

Embracing the Festive Spirit

As we deck the halls and prepare to indulge in the joyous festivities, let’s take a moment to reflect on the significance of this season. It’s not just about the sparkling decorations or the delicious treats; it’s about the warmth of shared moments, the comfort of cherished traditions, and the beauty of giving from the heart.

I’m taking some time off over the Christmas, New Year, and early January time for some much-needed rest and revitalisation, so I can come back in 2024 with renewed vigour and ideas to keep helping you improve your style.  I’ll be back on deck mid January to teach a new intake of aspiring personal stylists and color consultants the art and science of color and style so they can turn their passion into a new career (or just a side hobby that they love to do).  If you’re interested in joining us – please find out more about it here.

Practical Tips for a Stylish Celebration

While we revel in the merriment, let’s not forget the power of expressing ourselves through style. Here are a few practical tips to infuse your festive wardrobe with that special touch:

  • Embrace Your Signature Style: Whether it’s a classic red dress or a cozy oversized sweater if you live in the Northern Hemisphere, or maybe it’s a great patterned summer dress, or shorts and flattering top if you live in the Southern Hemisphere, whatever the weather let your true self shine through your outfit choices.
  • Play with Accessories: Elevate any outfit with accessories, whether it’s jewelry (necklace, earrings, brooches), a chic scarf, a funky belt, a gorgeous pair of shoes or boots, or a sophisticated handbag.
  • Experiment with Colours: Embrace your version of the festive palette or explore unconventional combinations to express your unique flair.

The Gift of Reflection

Amidst the flurry of holiday excitement, I encourage you to take a moment for self-reflection. Consider the personal style milestones you’ve reached this year and the ones you aspire to achieve in the coming year. Celebrate your growth and embrace the journey ahead with open arms.  Remember that style is a journey, not a destination as you’ll continue to grow and change through your life.  The fashions will change and what you enjoy wearing will change.  Change is the only thing that’s guaranteed in life!  One of my mother’s favorite sayings is “Change is as good as a holiday.”  And I”m not quite sure that I agree as sometimes a holiday makes all the difference, but change can make things feel new and fresh, and reinvigorate you.  Rather than getting stuck in a style rut, embrace some change every day through your style.

In Closing

As we bid farewell to another remarkable year, I extend my deepest thanks to you, dear reader, for being a part of the Inside Out Style community. Your enthusiasm and support are the greatest gifts I could ever receive.

Wishing you and your loved ones a festive season filled with laughter, joy, and beautiful moments. May the coming year be adorned with endless opportunities for self-expression and personal growth.
