The Schuttberg is one of the best places to watch the sunset in Stuttgart, Germany. “Schuttberg” is German for debris hill, and is an artificial hill made from all the rubble left over from WWII. The Schuttberg in Stuttgart is called the Birkenkopf and is My Favorite Attraction in Stuttgart. At the highest point in Stuttgart it provides a breath taking view of the city and surrounding area. It is especially breath taking at sunset as the shadows from the sun cast a glow on the visible rubble – a memorial to the dead and a reminder to the living.
